And being discontent with material things is not a bad thing, it is actually a good thing.
It is a step in the ladder of evolution towards satisfaction and bliss.

We crave for a dopamine hit.
The very fact that people drink alcohol, take drugs, play a sport, do adventure sports, play a musical instrument, sing, dance, paint, write, or meditate is because they want to experience something beyond the mind by either stopping the mind or transcending it for a while or by being present in the present moment.
Greatness boils down to how hungry and thirsty you are for it. How 'mad' or single-mindedly dedicated you are to your passion, craft, and love for what you do.
